Home Remedies for Acidity


  • Drink a glass of cold milk for quick relief from acidity and heartburn.
  • Suck a small piece of jaggery until acidity subsides.
  • Chewing of few holy basil (Tulsi) leaves.
  • Drinking coconut water 3-4 times in a day relieves acidity.
  • Chewing ginger helps to subside acidity.
  • Regular drinking one or two glasses of water in empty stomach at early in the morning.
  • Boil one cup of water and add one tsp of Aniseed (Saunf). Cover and leave overnight. Strain the water in the morning, add 1 tsp of honey. When this is taken 3 times a day it prevents acidity.
  • Watermelon juice is good for acidity.
